Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984, dir. Joseph Zito)

“Ted! Hey! Ted! Where the hell is the corkscrew!” Why don’t you find the corkscrew yourself? Oh THAT’S RIGHT, because you’ve got a meat cleaver wedged in your skull, you obnoxious little fuck. Personally, I’d have finished the job by sliding the corkscrew right up his pisshole.

elmasterderacing, Horrid Movies’ favourite new weirdo, has done something wonderful for us all. He / she / it has uploaded to Youtube every deleted death scene from the optimistically-named Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter, the series’ fourth and not at all final chapter. Thanks, elmasterderacing3, you fruitcake.

The fact that there are eight deaths in a compilation entitled Friday 13th Part 4 Deleted Deaths does make you wonder how no-one noticed the threatrical release looked like a really long episode of Goosebumps. Boy howdy, though, is that final scene sensational! I can’t believe Jason Voorhees was Michael Berryman all along! And that Al Murray kills him!

  1. On the subject of part 4’s, I saw Scream 4 last night. I know this is controversial to say on the Horrid Movies blog but I prefer jumping out of my seat when the killer springs from his hiding place to masses of gore. Although I do like the pub scene in Shaun of the Dead. Are there any great horror movies that do both?

  2. Hello Sophie, thank you for your comment. Here’s the trailer for low budget horror INBRED, which comes out later this year A friend of mine worked on set and said it’s got a great mix of jumps and gore. And Paddy from Emmerdale is in it, in one scene topless with blood smeared all over his boobies. Enjoy!
